Volunteers wanted: Operation Red Nose looking to fill spots for New Year’s Eve

Operation Red Nose in Prince George still needs volunteers for its busiest night of the year.

Spokesperson, Andrea Johnson explained to MyPGNow.com how many bodies they’re looking for.

“We need about 75 more volunteers and that’s the equivalent of about 25 road teams to help us out and we need that many to meet the demand that we expect.”

“We typically do about 150 to 200 rides alone on New Year’s Eve. Looking at the numbers that we currently do have, we don’t have the teams nor the volunteers right now that we need to handle New Year’s Eve.”

Last weekend, OPRN provided 183 rides to anyone who called the designated driver service.

So far this holiday season, Operation Red Nose has delivered over 280 safe rides home.
