Despite Environment Canada issuing a snowfall warning in Prince George today (Monday), city residents may not be seeing the worst of the storm.
“We’re expecting the highest amounts of snowfall to be more into the Rockies,” explained Environment Canada Meteorologist, Doug Lundquist.
The movement of the East-bound weather system may adversely impact highway road conditions.
However, PG will likely see warmer temperatures and a break from snowfall until later this week.
“It’s going to stay fairly warm throughout the week, at least until Thursday, with highs in the two or three-degree range. Friday there will be another system that could bring more significant snow.”
Lundquist also stated that Prince George may see mild flurries throughout the week.
