Colina tallies winner as Cougars pick up victory in Everett

The Prince George Cougars won their first game after Christmas just like they won their last game prior to Christmas.

In fact, the Cougars are riding a season-high three game win streak after a 4-3 Friday night victory over the Silvertips before 7,563 fans in Everett.

Ilijah Colina (6) snapped a 3-3 tie at 2:34 of the third period to give Prince George its first victory in Everett in three years (ending a drought of four straight losses at the Angel Of The Winds Arena).

The Cougars scored three goals in the first period on just seven shots on Keegan Karki before he was replaced in net by 16-year-old Braden Holt, who made 19 saves on 20 shots.
Tyler Brennan made 35 saves in the P.G. net.
Blake Eastman (1) tallied his first WHL goal after Josh Maser (16) and Filip Koffer (4) had earlier Prince George markers.

The Cougars visit the (17-12-2) Victoria Royals tonight and the (18-12-1-2) Kelowna Rockets Monday in their final action in 2019.

The next home games for the Cats at CN Centre will be on January 3rd and 4th against Everett.

The (9-20-1-3) Cougars are 7 points behind the (12-15-4-1) Tri-City Americans and the (13-17-2-1) Seattle Thunderbirds, who share the final Western Conference wild-card spot.
