The sordid story of one downtown building is coming to an end.
The derelict building that was formerly The Willow Inn is finally being torn down.
Today (Wednesday), work crews, including excavators, have been spotted taking down the property’s damaged structure.
The building’s demolition was ordered back in June of last year, although the order was ultimately postponed when a new owner stepped in.
It now appears that the new owners have chosen to tear down the problem building, located on Victoria Street in PG.
When asked about the demolition, The City of Prince George confirmed that it was the owners, and not the City, overseeing the project.
This, coming just days after another nuisance property on Chilako Avenue received a similar demolition order.
