The Cougars were blanked for the 7th time this season.
Dylan Garand earned the shutout as Kamloops outshot Prince George 43-27.
The (31-11-2-1) Blazers posted their third consecutive shutout to run their streak without allowing a goal to a franchise-record 209:33.

Josh Pillar scored twice as the Blazers extended their win streak to nine games (outscoring the opposition 52-9).
It was also the 8th consecutive road victory for the Blazers before 1,993 fans at CN Centre.
The Cougars failed to score on a five-minute power play in the first, which included a five-on-three man-advantage for two minutes.

The (12-25-3-4) Cougars are nine points behind the (18-22-3-1) Seattle Thunderbirds for the final Western Conference wild-card spot with both teams having 24 games left, including four against each other.
The Cats are also two points back of the (14-24-4-1) Tri-City Americans.
The Cougars host the Blazers again tonight as they continue a six-game homestand.
Prince George will also entertain Tri-City Jan. 31st and Feb. 1st and Seattle on Feb. 4th and 5th.

The Spruce Kings are 1-1 on a six-game road trip which will continue tonight against the
(22-14-5-4) Chilliwack Chiefs.
Prince George will also play Wednesday in Trail, Friday in Vernon and Saturday, Feb. 1st in West Kelowna before hosting Wenatchee on Feb. 5th.
With 12 regular-season games left, the (16-25-2-3) Spruce Kings are last in the Mainland Division, 5 points behind the (19-22-2-1-1) Langley Rivermen and 8 points back of the (19-20-3-4) Surrey Eagles.

BCMML: (Cariboo Cougars)
The (18-8-1-1) Cariboo Cougars play the (19-7) Vancouver Northeast Chiefs today at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in Burnaby.
Both teams are tied for 4th place in the BC Major Midget League, although the Chiefs hold two games in hand.
The Cougars have a dozen regular-season games left, with the last eight of them on home ice at Kin 1.

NHL:
The NHL All-Star Game will be played tonight in St. Louis.
Regular season play picks up again on Monday with half-a-dozen games, including the (30-11-8) St. Louis Blues at the Vancouver Canucks.
The (27-18-4) Canucks have won their last eight home games.
Vancouver leads the tight Pacific Division but is just a point over Edmonton, Calgary, Arizona and Vegas.

The Timberwolves host the Bobcats again tonight with the women to play at 5:00 followed by the men at 7.
The UNBC women are 6-9 and in 12th place out of 17 teams.
The UNBC men, who have lost their last eight, are 4-11 and also in 12th spot.
The top 12 teams advance to the playoffs.
