WHL: (PG Cougars)
The Prince George Cougars play three of their next four (and four of their next 8) games against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The two teams play a doubleheader tonight and Wednesday at CN Centre.
They also meet Sunday (Feb 9th and 23rd) in Seattle.
The (14-26-3-4) Cougars, 2-2 on a 6-game homestand, are 10 points back of the (20-22-3-2) Thunderbirds for the final wild-card playoff spot.
Both teams have 21 games remaining.

BCHL: (PG Spruce Kings)
The Prince George Spruce Kings will move from the Coastal Conference (Mainland Division) to the Interior Conference in the 2020-21 BCHL season.

With the addition of the expansion Cranbrook Bucks, the BCHL Board of Governors has voted to change to a two-conference system with nine teams on each side.
Both the Spruce Kings and Colts will play in the Interior, joining Penticton, Vernon, West Kelowna, Trail, Salmon Arm, Merritt and Wenatchee.
The league has also announced that it is moving from a 58-game regular-season schedule to 54, as well as a later start date in September.

The Spruce Kings, with just eight regular-season games left, host the (24-22-3-1) Wenatchee Wild on Wednesday and the (10-35-1-3) Merritt Centennials on Friday.
The (17-28-2-3) Spruce Kings are last in the Mainland Division, 7 points behind the (21-24-2-1-1) Langley Rivermen.
In the overall BCHL standings, P.G. is 15th out of 17 and in a playoff spot with 39 points followed by West Kelowna with 36 and Merritt with 24.
With 16 of the 17 teams to qualify for the postseason, it appears that Merritt will be the odd team out.

Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen left the game after the first period with an upper-body injury and did not return.

The Vancouver Canucks play tonight in Boston (4:00 p.m. PT).
The (31-10-12) Bruins lead the Atlantic Division and are second overall in the NHL standings, just a point behind Washington.
Boston is 17-2-9 at home.
The (30-18-5) Canucks have picked up five out of a possible six points on a five-game road trip that concludes Thursday in Minnesota (5:00 p.m. PT).
Vancouver leads the Pacific Division by three points over Edmonton, four over Vegas, five over Calgary and six over Arizona.
There are a total of 13 NHL games tonight with Toronto the only Canadian team idle.
Edmonton plays in Arizona, Calgary is home to San Jose, Winnipeg entertains Nashville, Montreal visits New Jersey and Ottawa hosts Anaheim.
Another game of note has Vegas at Tampa Bay.

BCMML: (Cariboo Cougars)
The Cariboo Cougars, coming off 5-3 and 7-0 victories over South Island, play their final eight regular-season games at Kin 1.
The Major Midget Cougars host the (7-26-0-1) Greater Vancouver Canadians Saturday night at 4:30 and Sunday morning at 10:30.
The (20-10-1-1) Cougars are in 5th place in the 11-team league while the Canadians are at the bottom.

The major bantam Cariboo Cougars made the final of the Okanagan Classic tournament in Kelowna but fell 10-3 to Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy.
To get to the championship game, the Cats won quarterfinal and semifinal contests in shootouts.
In the quarterfinal, they downed Okanagan Hockey Academy Prep 2-1. Then, in the semifinal round, the Cougars got past St. Albert 3-2.
The Cats are currently in fourth place in the B.C. Hockey Major Bantam League at 11-11-0-2.

The Northern Capitals female midget team took on Okanagan Hockey Academy in three exhibition games in Penticton on the weekend and went unbeaten with a pair of wins (4-2 and 3-1) and a tie (3-3).
The Caps (10-10-2-0) are third in the B.C. Hockey Female Midget AAA League.

In bantam double-A zone competition, the North Central Bobcats fell 5-2 to Northeast on Saturday but bounced back for a 2-2 tie on Sundy.
The Bobcats are 2-15-3-0 on the season.
Canada West Basketball: (UNBC Timberwolves)
The UNBC Timberwolves will conclude their regular-season in Canada West basketball this weekend with home games against the MacEwan Griffins.
The women play Friday at noon and Saturday at 5:00 p.m. while the men tip-off Friday night at 6:00 and Saturday evening at 7:00.
The 9-9 UNBC women have won six straight and have clinched a playoff spot sitting in 8th place out of 17 teams.

They are riding a club-record tying 11 game win streak.
The Raptors, sitting second in the NBA Eastern Conference, play their next two games against the (31-18) Pacers, Wednesday in Toronto (4:30 PT) and Friday (5:00 PT) in Indiana.
