Enhancements, including new scoreboard and booth, coming to Masich Place Stadium

Prince George residents may notice some changes at Masich Place Stadium, including the new scoreboard being installed today (Friday).

The scoreboard will feature an 11 by 16 foot electronic LED video screen capable of displaying animations and graphics, as well as a new sound system.

Construction will be dictated by the weather and is expected to take one to two weeks to complete.

There will also be new timers installed for use during football and lacrosse games, as well as new LED field lighting.

Additionally, two universal washrooms have been added alongside refurbishments to existing men’s and women’s facilities.

Similar improvements will be coming to the concession area, change rooms, and the referee room.

The stadium will also have a new score booth with insulation, heat, windows, and controls for the score clock, digital display, and sound system.

Finally, there is a focus on accessible seating which will be upgraded, complete with glass railings to provide viewing on both the north and south bleachers.

Upcoming events at Masich Place Stadium include the 2021 BC Track and Field Championship Jamboree and the 2022 BC Summer Games, although the facility is currently closed for the winter and will not be opened until at least May 30th due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

A complete list of changes is available on the City of Prince George’s website.
