PG Sports Weekend–May 3-4

The first weekend in May will be a busy one on the Prince George sports scene. Among the events:

–The PG Gymnastics Club hosts its annual Invitational Meet Saturday and Sunday.

–The PG Sub Zero Track and Field Meet will take place Saturday at Masich Place.

–The PG Women’s Soccer League starts its season with “fun” games Saturday and Sunday.

–PG Youth Soccer begins a new season with games on Saturday at the Rotary Fields.

–The Grade 8 Boys Basketball Championship is featured at College Heights Secondary with the final on Saturday.

–The PG Tennis Club (located behind the PG Golf and Curling Clubhouse) holds an OPEN HOUSE on Saturday from 10-4 with free tennis being offered.

–In PG Senior Lacrosse, the Westwood Pub Devils improved to 3-0 with a 17-3 victory over the BX Pub Bandits.

–The Quesnel Cariboo Hotel Crossfire improved to 2-0 by outscoring the Cowboy Ranch/Regional Security Stylers 18-11.

–PG Senior Lacrosse resumes Monday at 8pm with the 3-0 Westwood Pub Devils against the 2-0 Quesnel Crossfire.
