The Great Canadian Giving Challenge is currently underway and will run for the month of June.
Every donation given through CanadaHelps.org this month will enter the charity for a chance to win an additional $20,000.
The grand prize draw will take place on July 1st.
Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation is reporting being significantly impacted by COVID-19, which has financially affected many Canadians and disrupted regular fundraising activity.
The foundation primarily looks to provide medical equipment and support to patients in the region.
Last year’s challenge saw substantial participation as Canada-wide 109,000 Canadians participated, donating more than $14 million to over 12,000 charities.
Spirit of the North is encouraging the public to participate in “Make a Difference Mondays” by donating $5 to the organization and ‘tagging’ 5 friends on social media to do the same.
