Spruce Kings Captain is Long Island bound

Nolan Welsh is finally getting his chance to play college hockey south of the border.

On Wednesday, the Prince George Spruce Kings captain committed to Long Island University, the NCAA’s newest Division 1 program.

“I just wanted to say thank you to everyone in the Spruce Kings organization. I couldn’t say enough good things about how this program supported and treated me the last three years,” said Welsh.

“That being said, I am very excited about this opportunity at LIU and I can’t wait to get the next chapter of my life started.”
