City now accepting MyPG Community Grant applications

The semi-annual MyPG Community Grant is now accepting applications.

“The MyPG grants are designed to help local organizations design and implement innovative projects that are designed to make Prince George a great community,” says Sarah Brown, Supervisor of Community Wellbeing and Partnerships.

Organizations can now submit their applications, which are typically reviewed in six to eight weeks.

“The criteria for applicants is very broad because we’re encouraging innovation and new ideas,” adds Brown, “applications are evaluated based on alignment with criteria related to increasing community pride, encouraging a safe community and socially connecting citizens.”

She explains the funding is going towards, “a wide range of programs and activities that enhance and supports a great quality of life in Prince George.”

Some of the grants are worth $2500 to $8000, however, they can be as small as $900, all of which are funded by the city’s budget.
