PG Aquatic Centre to receive upgrades following government financial support

The provincial and federal governments are contributing $6.3 million to help improve the Prince George Aquatic Centre.
The money will go to repair the ageing walls, roof, and various mechanical systems.

The investment will help transition the facility from being the city’s single-largest emitter of greenhouse gases to one of the most energy-efficient.

According to the City, the Aquatic Centre suffers from high humidity, and air leakage into the walls and roof which are contributing to the deterioration of structural components and high operating costs.
