Highway 16 near Upper Fraser road has reopened to single lane alternating traffic.

Drive BC is estimating Highway 16 east of Prince George will reopen at 11:30 pm.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 16, east of Prince George.

Drive BC is reporting the incident occurred between the Upper Fraser Rd and Willow River Rest Area, 1km west of Tabor Mountain.

Both lanes are currently closed for the investigation and will be for ‘several hours.’

“There are at least two vehicles involved, one of them being a semi-truck that is blocking both of the lanes,” said Staff Seargent Chris Riddle.

There is no confirmation on the extent of injuries at this time, he added.

There is no available detour.
