MLB:

–The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to the World Series for the third time in four years. Cody Bellinger snapped a 3-3 tie with a 7th inning homer to give LA a 4-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers overcame a 3-1 series deficit by winning three consecutive games when facing elimination for only the second time in their history.

–Game 1 of the Fall Classic featuring the Dodgers and American League champion Tampa Bay Rays will be played Tuesday night in Arlington, Texas. MLB will allow 11,500 fans into the stadium for each game of the World Series. The Dodgers will try to win their first World Series title since 1988.

–The Tampa Bay Rays won the American League Championship Series when they beat the Houston Astros 4-2 in Game 7 on Saturday.

NFL: 

–Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans improved to 5-0 in the NFL. The Steelers whipped the Cleveland Browns 38-7 while the Titans needed overtime to rally from behind and knock off the Houston Texans 42-36. Pittsburgh will play at Tennessee on Sunday.

–The Seattle Seahawks, who were idle on the weekend, are the only other unbeaten team, also at 5-0. The Green Bay Packers suffered their first loss as they were crushed 38-10 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

–In Sunday Night Football, the San Francisco 49’ers beat the LA Rams 24-16.

–There are a pair of Monday football games in the NFL: KC at Buffalo (2 pm PT) with both teams 4-1, followed by 3-2 Arizona at 2-3 Dallas (5:15 Pm).
