MLB:

–A blowout in Game 1 of the World Series. The LA Dodgers scored four runs in the fifth inning and they went on to crush the Tampa Bay Rays 8-3. Winning pitcher Clayton Kershaw retired 17 of the final 18 batters he faced. Over six innings, Kershaw allowed one run, two hits and one walk while striking out eight. Game 2 will be played tonight (5:10 PT) in Arlington, Texas. MLB is allowing 11,500 fans, spread in groups of four, into the stadium for each game of the World Series.

NFL: 

–Week seven of the NFL season begins Thursday night with the (1-5) New York Giants at the (1-4-1) Philadelphia Eagles. Despite losing records, both teams are in contention in the NFC (L) East where the Dallas Cowboys top the division at 2-4.

BCHL:

–The Prince George Spruce Kings play a pair of pre-season games this weekend against the Merritt Centennials. The two teams meet Friday night in Merritt and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the RMCA in PG.
