Prince George man charged in relation to drug trafficking investigation

A number of charges against 39-year-old Tyler Aaron Gelowitz of Prince George have been approved following a drug trafficking investigation from last summer.

On August 1st, 2019, the Prince George RCMP executed five search warrants at a number of residences on Parent Road on 1st Avenue and on Eagle Nest Crescent.

The warrant resulted in the seizure of 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, ½ kilogram of methamphetamine, nearly 200 grams of fentanyl, 28 grams of GHB, $129,000 in cash and nine firearms including two pistols and a silencer.

“Gelowitz is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Loaded Restricted  Firearm without Authorization and five counts of Posession of a Controlled Substance for Purpose of Trafficking,” explained Corporal Craig Douglass.

Gelowitz has been issued a summons and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

According to Douglass, “Prince George RCMP is committed to aggressively targeting those responsible for causing harm through drug trafficking and its associated violence in our community.”
