–The BCHL has been forced to delay the start of its regular season because of the restrictions by the Provincial Health Office being extended until Jan. 8th. In a news release the league says “If current restrictions are extended beyond midnight on Jan. 8, the league will come together and make a decision on when play can resume.”

–The Philadelphia Eagles are making a change at quarterback. Rookie Jalen Hurts will start Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints while Carson Wentz has been sent to the bench and will be the back up.
Biathlon:
–Sarah Beaudry of Prince George continued her biathlon season on the World Cup circuit in Finland. The 26-year-old Duchess Park graduate finished 74th out of 103 racers in the women’s 7.5 km sprint competition. Beaudry and her teammates from Biathlon Canada placed 16th out of 21 countries in the 4×6 women’s relay competition. Next up will be a series of competitions starting Friday in Austria.
