A new report from Northern Health is expected to give more direction to address seniors care issues. The report titled “Let’s Talk about Healthy Aging and Seniors’ Wellness,” gives four themes from consultations held last year. CEO Cathy Ulrich says the report doesn’t give recommendations, but will be used in planning.
Ulrich says those partners include local governments, seniors groups and other community groups. She says a recurring item found during consultations was the number of seniors wanting to live in their own homes instead of moving into assisted care.
