Jr Hockey:

–Taylor Gauthier is the 7th player in Prince George Cougars history to be named to Team Canada for the World Junior Hockey Championship. He joins Eric Brewer, Blair Betts, Tyler Bouck, Dan Hamhuis, Dana Tyrell, and Brett Connolly. Gauthier is one of three goalies selected to the team for the tournament that will begin in a couple of weeks in Edmonton.


NHL:

 

NFL: 

–The LA Rams clinched their 4th straight winning season by pounding the New England Patriots 24-3 in the start of Week 14 of the NFL season. The 9-4 Rams lead the NFC West while the 6-7 Patriots are all but mathematically out of playoff contention. New England QB Cam Newton struggled. He went 9 of 16 for 119 yards with a pick-6. Newton was also sacked four times before he was benched in the 4th quarter.
