After an easy winter, we’re now officially into the spring season.
Meteorologist Lisa Coldwells with Environment Canada says December to February was 2.8 degrees above normal.
“We have some rain falling [Friday] and I think that’s going to wash away the last little bits of snow, but when you look at all the bits of precipitation that’s fallen over the winter, we come up with 117% above normal precipitation.”
Coldwells says that’s mainly due to a wet January and forecasts above-average temperatures for the spring ahead.
