MLB:
The Toronto Blue Jays and outfielder George Springer have come to terms on a six-year, $150 million deal. The contract is the largest given out by the Blue Jays in franchise history.  Springer, the spark plug for the Houston Astros’ offense in the leadoff spot for the past four seasons, hit a team-high 14 home runs last year and added another four in the postseason. He was the World Series MVP in 2017.

NBA:

The (5-8) Toronto Raptors, riding a 3-game win streak, host the (5-7) Miami Heat tonight (Wednesday) and Friday in Tampa Bay.
