Northern Health issues updated bulletin on three COVID-19 outbreaks in PG

Northern Health has provided an update on a trio of COVID-19 outbreaks in our community.

Jubilee Lodge

Since the outbreak was declared at Jubilee Lodge on December 12th, 48 residents have tested positive for the virus, along with 14 staff.

In addition, 14 residents have died.

As of today (Friday), two of the Jubilee resident cases remain active (the remainder, 32, is now considered recovered).

University Hospital’s Internal Medicine (IMU)

On December 29th, the health authority declared an outbreak at the IMU at the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George.

To date, 20 patients and 12 staff have tested positive for COVID-19.

Five patient deaths have been associated with the outbreak.

UHNBC Rehab Unit

Medical Health Officers declared the outbreak on January 4th following a lab-confirmed, case in a Rehab patient.

Monitoring and testing identified two additional cases, for a total of three patient cases since.

There have been no additional cases since the previous update.
