A man from Fernie has been reported missing after an avalanche north of Valemount yesterday (Tuesday).
RCMP say he was a part of a group of three backcountry skiers who were caught in the avalanche.
Two skiers were able to free themselves, but they were unable to find the third.
Corporal Madonna Saunderson with the North District RCMP describes all three as experienced skiiers.
Robson Valley Search and Rescue had to suspend the search for the missing 35-year-old due to darkness and continues the search today.
