Two more deaths at Prince Rupert’s Acropolis Manor outbreak

Northern Health says a severe COVID-19 outbreak in a long-term care home has now resulted in the deaths of 14 patients.

The outbreak at Prince Ruperts Acropolis Manor, declared in January, has 56 cases involving 33 residents and 23 staff.

Health officials say the outbreak is considered stable and no new cases have been identified in a ‘number’ of days.

Full outbreak measures remain in place, however.

Facility outbreaks are declared over only after two consecutive (14 day) COVID-19 incubation periods have passed with no potential exposures to a confirmed case
