NHL:

Forward Brett Connolly of Prince George, who has struggled this season with Florida, has been placed on waivers by the Panthers.

Connolly, who played in his 500th NHL game in late January, has just one goal and two assists in 16 games this season.

If he goes unclaimed, the Panthers will likely place him on their taxi squad.
