The Omineca Arts Centre believes their latest Artist in Residence can provide some wiggle room to residents navigating through the pandemic.
From now until March 29th, Gillian Wigmore will be in the studio Mondays (5-7 pm) and Fridays (12-5 pm).
Residents are encouraged to come down and see her LIFE SIZED poetry in person or tune into her Facebook Live event on March 15th from 5 to 8 pm.
Her free workshop is being held a few days later on the 20th from Noon to 3 pm.
Wigmore is also the author of three books of poems called Soft Geography: winner of the ReLit Prize for Poetry; Dirt of Ages, shortlisted for the George Ryga Award; and Orient. She has also written three books of fiction – a novella, Grayling, a novel, Glory, and a book of novellas, Night Watch: the Vet Suite, 2021, Invisible Publishing.
