The Kamloops Hub turned out to be very beneficial for Taylor Gauthier and Ethan Samson of the Prince George Cougars.
Samson was given a 3rd round grade by NHL Central Scouting after coming in 92nd among North American Skaters in the Final Rankings.
In 22 games this season, the 17-year-old recorded 12 points (one goal and eleven assists).
Gauthier on the other hand ranks 18th out of 32 North American goaltenders listed.
This despite posting a 2.75 goals-against average along with a .915 save percentage.
The Calgary product was also Canada’s third goaltender at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Edmonton picking up a silver medal.
In the previous two years, Gauthier went unpicked at the NHL Draft.
This year’s draft will be held on July 23rd and 24th.
