One person has been arrested following a standoff with police in Williams Lake.
According to RCMP, the suspect was seen entering a residence at around 3:50 a.m. today (Sunday) with a long gun.
Police say they set up a perimeter around the home and asked the suspect to come out of the residence.
Several people came out of the residence, not including the suspect.

Residents in nearby homes were evacuated as well.
Police say tear gas was used to get the suspect out of the home, and the suspect was arrested without incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
