We know now the date of the Prince George Cougars home opener.
It will be Saturday, October 2nd, against the defending B.C. Division champion Kamloops Blazers.
“We can’t wait to see our fans back at the CN Centre and begin a season like no other,” said Cougars’ Vice President, Business Andy Beesley.
“We want to be leaders in helping our community come together in the post-pandemic world and we think our home opener will be a great event to rally around.”
The home opener will be the only game of the opening weekend for the Cougars, and the first time in eight years Prince George opens the season at home against the Blazers.
The Cougar’s entire regular-season schedule will be released next Wednesday (June 23rd).
In addition, the WHL announced a change to its playoff format following the conclusion of their AGM.
