From now until Sunday, a series of Fathers Day activities are taking place including a Watson Weekend and Sherlock Saturday.

Program Manager, Nicole Krizmanich spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“So, we found last year, especially with COVID, people were really looking forward to having something to do and it turned out to be quite popular and you know, it’s a nice friendly outdoor activity.”

“It basically just takes you around the site to different buildings and it has kind of learning different facts about the homestead and then once you finish you can head to the general store and collect your prize.”

Dad’s can also participate in a pancake breakfast or have a free ice cream sundae.

In addition, Huble Homestead’s Canada Day Celebrations are stretching into a full week.

From June 28th to July 3rd, residents can enjoy Dominion Day activities.

Visitors to the historic site can collect their self-guided activity and craft kits, enjoy a complimentary butter tart or piece of cake, and learn more about Canada and our region as they explore the exhibits.
