Montreal Canadiens  4  Vegas Golden Knights  1
(The Canadiens are a win away from a berth in the Stanley Cup Final. Carey Price made 26 saves to help the Habs build-up period leads of 1-0 and 3-0. In 16 playoff games, Price has a sparkling .933 save percentage and a 2.02 goals-against-average. The Canadiens lead the series 3-2 with Game 6 Thursday night in Montreal)

The other NHL semifinal series will continue tonight (Wednesday) just after 5:00 (PT) with the Tampa Bay Lightning at the New York Islanders. Tampa leads the best-of-7 series 3-2.

UNBC Timberwolves:

The UNBC Timberwolves will begin their Canada West men’s and women’s soccer season by playing a doubleheader at Victoria on September 10th and 11th. The Timberwolves home openers will be the following weekend against Trinity Western.  All teams play 12 games within their divisions.

(The Suns got the winning basket with less than a second remaining. Phoenix has won nine straight to grab a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference Final with Game 3 Thursday night in LA)

Game 1 in the best-of-7 NBA Eastern Conference Final will tip-off tonight at 5:30 with the Atlanta Hawks at the Milwaukee Bucks.
