Fastball:

Prince George-based Big Guy Lake River Kings placed second at a senior men’s fastball tournament in Cache Creek. The River Kings lost the final to Chase by a 7-2 score to end up with an overall 3-1 record.


NBA

Milwaukee Bucks  120  Phoenix Suns   100
(Giannis “Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo had 41 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists for the Bucks. The Suns lead the NBA Finals 2-1 with Game 4 Wednesday night in Milwaukee)

Soccer

Italy won the European Soccer Championship for the first time since 1968, by beating England 3-2 on penalties. The game at Wembley Stadium ended 1-1 after extra time.

Tennis

Top-seeded Novak Djokovic won his record-tying 20th Grand Slam tennis title. Djokovic beat #7 Matteo Berrettini in four sets in the men’s singles final at Wimbledon.  It is the 6th time Djokovic has earned top honors at Wimbledon.

The women’s title went to world number-one Ashleigh Barty.
