Residents could have a new place to “park” it

A new park in the downtown core could become a possibility soon.

At Monday night’s city council meeting, councillors received a report on a new park concept between the Wood Innovation and Design Centre and Heartbreakers.

“Which means its not a sports field and its not a swimming pool,” says Vanderzaln, “but its going to be really focused around an urban plaza but with green space as well.”

Vanderzaln says the park is budgeted to cost $750,000, and they hope to start construction this June.

An open house on the new park will be held Tuesday at the Ramada from 3-8 p.m.
