City staff plan on working with property owners in the Lansdowne Road area to fix an issue with erosion.
At last night’s council meeting, staff were directed to come up with a solution for the area along the Fraser River.
Interim Director of Public Works Dave Dyer says they could look at a possible project that would stop the erosion.
“And they’ve done the homework already, and brougt a report that gives us a starting point with the cost estimate of $1.6 million,” says Dyer, “and what we can do is look at it and similar to a sewer project could be where there is a similar cost.”

Dyer says the city would put up the costs and the property owners would pay it back over time.
He says its not clear how soon this project could get done.
