The bodies of the two pilots whose plane went missing yesterday have been found.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre has been able to confirm the debris and the pilots were found in Vancouver’s North Shore Mountains
Naval Lieutenant Paul Trenholm says the bodies and the plane were found late this morning and early this afternoon.
“Unfortunately I have to tell you that both pilots are deceased,” says Trenholm, “we’ve had the opportunity to inform Carson Air, its carrier out of Kelowna of the situation and they have the opportunity to notify next of kin.”
Trenholm says this case has now been turned over to the BC Coroner’s Office and the Transportation Safety Board.
Yesterday Carson Air Flight 66 left YVR at 6:43 am and lost radio contact at 7:10 am.
