Low housing starts in PG at least stable

Not much movement for new housing in Prince George, but analysts say numbers are at least stable.

Eight new single detached houses were built in the city last month, which is the same as this time last year, while two multiple units were built, compared to four, last April.

However, Regional Economist Carol Frketich says the resale market in Prince George are up from last year.

Though PG’s housing starts are on the lower side, the city has the most stable numbers listed by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Thursday.
