Prince George marked the end to Canada’s mission in Afghanistan. A small ceremony was held outside the cenotaph near City Hall this morning to mark National Day of Honour. 158 balloons were released by Cadet and Legion members as a symbol of all who died in the 12 year Afghanistan mission. Prince George Legion President Bruce Gabrielle says the day is to remember the men and women who served whenever called upon.
Gabrielle says he hopes the day will become a yearly held ceremony.
