WHL:

Prince George Cougars  7  Vancouver Giants  3  (Wednesday)

Koehn Ziemmer became the second P.G. Cougar to rack up six points in a game (joining Dan Baum who did it in the 2002-03 season)

The 17-year-old Ziemmer scored twice and added four assists to lead the Cougars to their 4th straight victory before 1,523 fans at CN Centre.

Prince George actually trailed 2-0 midway through the game.

The (12-14) Cougars visit Kamloops on Friday and Vancouver (in Langley) on Saturday before heading into its Christmas break.

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars are idle until the new year.

They will host the (6-12-0-2) South Island Royals on January 8th (4:30 PM) and 9th (7:15 AM) at Kin 1.

The (9-9-1-1) U-18 Cougars are in fifth place in the 10-team division.

NFL:

The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired head coach Urban Meyer. The Jags are 2-11 under Meyer, who was in his first season with the team. Owner Shad Khan made the move several hours after former Jaguars player Josh Lambo told a Florida newspaper Meyer kicked him during practice in August.

Week 15 of the NFL season begins tonight with the (9-4) Kansas City Chiefs at the (8-5) LA Chargers. The Chiefs have won six in a row.
