WHL:

The Prince George Cougars, riding a 4-game win streak, visit the BC Division-leading Kamloops Blazers tonight and the Vancouver Giants Saturday in their last two games before the Christmas break.

The (12-14) Cougars are coming off Wednesday’s 7-4 victory over Vancouver as Koehn Ziemmer became the second P.G. Cougar to rack up six points in a game (joining Dan Baum who did it in the 2002-03 season)

The Canadian Hockey League has announced that 10 games from the 2021-22 regular-season schedule will be televised by TSN. The broadcast schedule includes the PG Cougars at the Vancouver Giants on Friday, Jan 14th at 7 PM.

BCHL:

The (13-7-1) Prince George Spruce Kings are on the road this weekend for their final games prior to the Christmas break.

The Spruce Kings visit the (18-4-1) Salmon Arm Silverbacks tonight and the (6-11-3) Vernon Vipers Saturday.

Softball:

Nicholas Potskin of Prince George is one of 52 athletes who have been named by Softball Canada to the 2022 Men’s National Team Athlete Pool. The list was put together by the coaching staff.

The Condor Classic concludes today at Duchess Park.

Both Senior Girls and Senior Boys teams are competing.
