As the clock struck 2pm, the Prince George Cougars stood pat with its current roster heading into the home stretch run of the 2021-22 WHL season.
The Cats elected not to make a splash today (Monday) at the trade deadline.
However, a pair of their BC Division rivals were working the phones.
The Vancouver Giants made a trio of deals including a package that saw Florida Panthers prospect Justin Sourdif sent to the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for 19-year-old forward Jacob Boucher and a pair of 1st round draft picks in 2022 and 2025.
Thank you for the memories Sourds…

Vancouver also picked up a first-round pick from the Winnipeg Ice for blueliner Tanner Brown.
In addition, the Kamloops Blazers recorded a flurry of activity.
The BC Division leaders dealt 19-year-old scoring forward Josh Pillar to the Saskatoon Blades for second and third-round picks in 2022 and 2024.
Pillar requested the move as he is dealing with a private medical issue.
The Blazers also acquired rugged forward Drew Englot from the Regina Pats for Tye Spencer in a one-for-one swap.
Lastly, Kamloops also flipped overage forwards with the Spokane Chiefs acquiring Luke Toporowksi in exchange for Nick McCary and a 2nd round pick in 2025.
