The (18-19-4) Vancouver Canucks host the (19-16-2) Edmonton Oilers tonight at 7:00.
Vancouver is 10-4-2 since Bruce Boudreau took over as coach.
The Canucks have named former player agent Émilie Castonguay assistant general manager.
She becomes the first female assistant GM in team history and is just the second woman in NHL history to hold that title.
The 38-year-old Castonguay follows Angela Gorgone, who was promoted to assistant GM of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1996.
“It’s just kind of strange how the universe makes things happen sometimes.”
By joining the Canucks front office, Émilie Castonguay is achieving a deeply personal goal set by her late sister more than a decade ago. (@imacSportsnet)https://t.co/GzaO9sivko
