The branding for the 2022 BC Summer Games in Prince George has been unveiled.
“Prince George is an incredible community that has such a caring and giving spirit,” said 2022 BC Summer Games President Renee McCloskey.
“We wanted to capture that spirit as part of our brand story of the Games happening in Prince George this July. Our team is getting ready to roll our the welcome mat for BC’s best and brightest young athletes and can’t wait to show off all our community has to offer.”
The colors of the branding is meant to reflect summer sunsets, and the tagline is ‘Spirit Lives Here – Njan Tsen Ghuna’.
“You can feel it immediately in the air, and in your heat,” said Lheidli T’enneh Councillor Joshua Seymour.
“It lived here long before us and it lives in the surrounding forests and unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh. It lives in the hearts of athletes, hosts, coaches, and volunteers. It lives in the legacy of the games, and will live here long after we’re gone.”
The BC Summer Games take place in Prince George from July 21st to 24th, 2022.
