PG Public Library Book Sale ready to return after two years

The Friends of the Prince George Public Library Society and the Prince George Public Library (PGPL)  are bringing back an event that hasn’t happened in two years.

The library will be hosting their first book sale since 2019.

“Typically we host two book sales a year, one in the spring and one in the fall,” said Director of the Friends PGPL Margaret Johnston.

“However due to COVID-19, we have been unable to hold a Book Sale in over two years, so we are overflowing with books.”

The sale will be held at the Bob Harkins Branch in Downtown PG over two days:

  • Friday, April 22nd, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday April 23rd, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Johnston added they aren’t able to take book donations until after the sale, when they have freed up storage space.

Since the Friends of the Library was incorporated in 1990, they’ve raised over $440,000.
