There are four Stanley Cup playoff games tonight: Toronto at Tampa (4:30 PT), Edmonton at LA  (7:00), Minnesota at St. Louis (6:30), and Carolina at Boston (4:00).

The Hurricanes lead the Bruins 2-0 but the other three series are all tied 1-1.

WHL:

The WHL Western Conference semifinals open tonight with Vancouver at Kamloops.

The other West semi starts Saturday as Portland travels to Seattle.

In the Eastern Conference, Edmonton beat Red Deer 4-0 in the opener of that series, and tonight Moose Jaw visits Winnipeg in Game one.

BCHL:

The BCHL best-of-7 Fred Page Cup championship series will start May 13th and 14th.

The Penticton Vees host the Nanaimo Clippers in the first two games.

Both teams swept their Conference Finals in four straight.

Penticton outscored West Kelowna 25-4 (Interior) while Nanaimo outscored Langley 18-5 (Coastal).

The (16-11) Blue Jays are 0-1 on a 9-game road trip that continues tonight in Cleveland (4:10 PM PT).

NBA: 

After a quiet Thursday, there are two NBA playoff games tonight: Miami at Philadelphia (4:00 PT) followed by Phoenix at Dallas (6:30).  Both Miami and Phoenix lead their best-of-7 second-round series 2-0.

Doug Porter scored eight goals.

The league has a pair of Saturday night games at the PG Coliseum: Assault against Mackenzie at 7:00 followed by Devils against the Bandits at 9:00.

On Saturday between games, the league will be paying a tribute to long-time Commissioner Glen “Moose” Scott who passed away from cancer during the peak of Covid-19.

One more game is set for Sunday and that will have the Devils against Quesnel at 11:00 a.m. at the Coliseum.
