RCMP investigating early morning shooting on Queensway

The Prince George RCMP are investigating a shooting incident on Queensway.

Just before 6:00 this morning (Thursday), police received multiple reports of shots fired in the 2200-block of Queensway.

Frontline officers saturated the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

“Video surveillance from the area shows a dark-coloured SUV fleeing the neighbourhood at the time of the incident,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Police are asking for anyone who saw a vehicle matching this description or with video surveillance in this area to contact police.”

Mounties say no injuries were reported in this event.

The investigation is still in the early stages and remains ongoing.
