Duchess Park wins provincial award

The City of Prince George has been awarded for its work on Duchess Park.

Council received the “provincial park and open space” award Monday night for their planning and development from the BC Recreation and Parks Association.

Mayor Shari Green says the award is a big win for the park’s design team.

Over the last three years, work done at Duchess Park has seen an accessible playground built, along with a bike park, dog park, skating rink, as well as a basketball and tennis court.
