Police seeking suspects in last week’s BC SPCA break-in

“Who let the dogs out?”

That’s what the Prince George RCMP want to know after last week’s break-in at the PG branch of the BC SPCA.

Police were called to the shelter shortly after 8:00 a.m., one week ago. (August 5th)

Officers determined the break-in happened at around 4:00 that morning.

That day, the BC SPCA said four dogs were missing.

Two of the dogs that were missing were being held at the shelter as a part of the SPCA’s animal control contract with the city.

“We are now reaching out to the public for help in identifying the two suspects in this file,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Surveillance reveals that two people, dressed all in black, entered the building and stole two pit-bulls.”

The Prince George BC SPCA’s Branch Senior Manager Jamey Blair has told My PG Now that the other two dogs who were missing that day have been safely returned to the shelter.

The investigation is ongoing.
