Hospice hits the jackpot with Dream Home Radiothon ticket sales

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society set a goal for yesterday’s Dream Big for Hospice fundraiser and they shattered it.

“It went amazing, we had an incredible day, we were hoping to sell 1,000 dream home tickets,” said Special Events Coordinator Sandra Klimm.

She said they broke that goal, selling a total of 1,228.

“We have now sold over 5,000 Dream Home tickets,” Klimm added.

“Our 50/50 take-home jackpot grew hugely yesterday, so that is now at over $80,000 take home.”

She said there are 13,999 tickets in total for the Dream Home lottery, and they are hoping to reach $150,000 for the 50/50 take home jackpot.

“The goal for hospice to sell out the lottery,” Klimm explained.

“We need to sell out the lottery so that we can continue to be here, we can continue to having our rotary home, and our 50/50 is supporting our new [Hospice at Home] program that we’re hoping to get off the ground in the fall.”

The Dream Home draw will take place on December 16th, with four early bird draws taking place before that date.
