WHL:

The (5-5) Prince George Cougars play their next three games against the (8-0) Seattle Thunderbirds.

The two teams meet Friday and Saturday at CN Centre and Tuesday in Kent, Washington.

The Cougars are third in the B.C. Division and tied for fifth in the 10-team WHL Western Conference.

The (7-3-0-1) Prince George Spruce Kings host the (2-7-0-1) Wenatchee Wild Friday and Saturday night at 7:00.

The Spruce Kings are tied for third while Wenatchee is last in the nine-team BCHL Interior Division.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)

(U18)

The (5-2-1) U18 Cariboo Cougars host the (0-8) North Island Silvertips Saturday afternoon at 2:30 and Sunday morning at 8:15 at Kin 1.

The U18 Cougars are unbeaten in six and in third place out of nine teams.

The (4-6-1) Northern Capitals host the (8-3) Vancouver Island Seals Friday night at 6:45 at Kin 1, Saturday night at 5:45 at Kin 2, and Sunday morning at 8:15 at Kin 2.

Canada West Soccer:

The (8-5-3) UNBC Timberwolves visit the (5-2-7) Alberta Golden Bears Saturday afternoon at 1:15 (PT) in Canada West men’s soccer playoff action.

The winner will advance to the league semifinals.

During the regular season, Alberta beat the UNBC men 4-1.

NBA:

Toronto Raptors  119  Philadelphia 76’ers  109

NFL: (Week 8)

Week 8 of the NFL season begins tonight (at 5:15 PT) with (4-3) Baltimore at (3-4) Tampa Bay.

CFL:

B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke will play his first game since Aug. 20th Friday in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers.

Rourke has been sidelined since sustaining a sprain in his right foot.

There is one weekend left in the CFL regular season but all playoff positions have been determined.

In the West, the (12-5) second-place B.C. Lions will host the (11-6) Calgary Stampeders in the division semi-final on Sunday, November 6th at 1:30 p.m.

The winner will visit the (14-3) Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West final.

In the East, the (8-9) second-place Montreal Alouettes will entertain the (7-10) Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the division semi on Sunday, November 6th at 10:00 a.m.

The winner will play at the (11-6) Toronto Argonauts in the East final.

Week 21 starts Friday night with B.C. at Winnipeg (5:30 PT).

The final three games of the regular season will follow on Saturday with Montreal at Toronto (11 AM PT), Hamilton at Ottawa (2 PM), and Saskatchewan at Calgary (5 PM).
