WHL:

The Prince George Cougars play the (9-1) Seattle Thunderbirds again, this time tonight (Tuesday) in Kent, Washington.

The (6-6) Cougars are starting a five-game road trip.

The two teams played twice on the weekend in Prince George.

The Thunderbirds won 5-4 Friday and the Cougars took Saturday’s game 4-1.

BCHL: 

The Prince George Spruce Kings have hired Brad Tesink as the team’s new Associate Coach.

Tesink comes to P.G. after spending time as a head coach in the Maritime Junior Hockey League with the South Shore Lumberjacks.

The (9-3-0-1) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (14-0) Penticton Vees Friday night at 7:00 and the (7-5-0-1) Salmon Arm Silverbacks Saturday night at 6:00.

The Spruce Kings are third in the nine-team BCHL Interior Division.

(U18)

The (5-2-1) U18 Cariboo Cougars, who are unbeaten in six, visit the (3-5-1-1) Vancouver North East Chiefs Saturday afternoon at 3:30 and Sunday morning at 10:45 in Burnaby.

(U18 female)

The (5-8-1) Northern Capitals visit the (10-4) Vancouver Island Seals in Chemainus Saturday afternoon at 3:00 and Sunday morning at 8:30.

The two teams played a triple-header last weekend in Prince George with the Seals winning two of the three games.

The two teams are scheduled to play tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday (5:03 PT) in Philadelphia with the Phillies and Houston Astros tied 1-1.

The CFL playoffs begin on Sunday.

In the West, the (12-6) second-place B.C. Lions will host the (12-6) Calgary Stampeders in the division semi-final (1:30 p.m.).

The winner will visit the (15-3) Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West final on November 13th.

In the East, the (9-9) second-place Montreal Alouettes will entertain the (8-10) Hamilton Tiger-Cats (10 a.m.) in the division semi with the winner to play at the (11-7) Toronto Argonauts in the East final.

The UNBC Timberwolves begin their Canada West basketball season this weekend at the Northern Sport Centre.

The Timberwolves host the Trinity Western Spartans Friday night at 5:00 and 7:00 and Saturday at 4:00 and 6:00.
